Winter Steelhead Fishing on the Umpqua River Oregon

Despite the low water and cold conditions, winter steelheading has been excellent on the Umpqua river.  Fishing has been best on the main stem, but after the recent rain the south and the north Umpqua should be producing decent fish.  Winter steelheading on the Rogue river has been spotty at best, but fish have started being caught down by Galice, downstream of Grants Pass and are finally moving into the upper Rogue.
