Southern Oregon's year round fisheries

February 8, 2017
Fishing Southern Oregon...endless possibilities.

Southern Oregon has some of the best fisheries for both steelhead and salmon fishing, whether you prefer the classic float in a drift boat, an adventurous ride down wild and scenic sections or prefer to fish from the bank. We have it all. Winter fishing can be a timing game with big rewards! We find ourselves in the fall counting the days until the rains begin to open the duned up streams on the coast, waiting and watching for river levels to clear and drop into ideal conditions after a storm and chasing some of the nicest fish around the Pacific northwest. It is an exciting time for steelhead and salmon fishing entusiasts.

In the last few weeks, the weather has started to warm a bit and you can feel the nearness of spring. Fishing for winter steelhead will continue improving on both the Umpqua and Rogue rivers through April. Leading us directly into salmon season. Oh the month of May when "Springers" 1st arrive in the upper Rogue.
