Spring Kings are on their way...

Spring king salmon have entered the lower Rogue, fresh from the ocean, headed upstream to the brisk waters of the upper river to spawn. The past few seasons Springers arrived in the upper river mid April and were in decent numbers by early May. Once the 1st salmon arrive we fish for kings through fall on the upper Rogue and in late fall and early winter on the coast. About this time every year the anticipation and the excitement of salmon fishing begins to set in...for guides and guests alike.  Until then, we fish for wily winter steelhead when river conditions permit. Call anytime for a current fishing report. Brady and the guys are standing by...

While our favorite guides in Oregon are taking care of business at home, Charlie and I are still enjoying some time in Panama.  We will arrive home in a few weeks, just in time for the salmon season opener.  I've included a few more pics of our travels including Charlie enjoying a local beer with his mom, the original Brown family fish slayer.  Salud.
