June 2017 We are in the peak of spring king salmon fishing on the upper Rogue.  This week was all about kings!  A nice mix of native and hatchery fish being caught ranging from shiny chrome to some with a bit of color, meaning they have been in the river a bit longer, but still cutting out nicely, a firm red meat.  As of July 1st hatchery and native fish may be kept in this stretch of river. Water levels have steadied and weather conditions are warming up. There's nothing like summer salmon fishing.
