Things to do in Southern Oregon - Go Fishing!

Now this is just my opinion (and I am a little biased), but I imagine if you are reading this we might be like minded.  I imagine I don't need to explain why we love fishing, heck we know the Rogue river is wild, wooded, scenic and home to the granddaddies of all salmon and the anadromous* Rainbow trout (the steelhead), and as much as we enjoy the catch, being one with nature in the land of southern Oregon might be the true pleasure. Our guests might agree...

Ryan and Ben, on vacation from the Bay area, were able to fit an afternoon Rogue river fishing trip in on their last day in the Medford area.  Ryan, an 11 year old with worthy fishing experience, had to fit a little southern Oregon spring salmon and summer steelhead fishing in before he headed home. Ben made the trip happen and Ryan hooked, fought and landed the Chinook king salmon above (bobber fishing) and the summer steelhead below.

Ron returned this year seeking a Rogue river spring salmon to take home, he got his wish.
