Winter Steelhead Season is here! Come fish the Umpqua, Rogue and more

January 16th, 2018 Yesterday, Charlie and I moved back home, here on the upper Rogue. The last few months living in Port Orford have been busy with salmon and steelhead trips and some much enjoyed personal time exploring the southern Oregon coast. We have spent the past few weeks trying to squeeze in as much fun as we could.  For current Elk and Sixes river conditions click here.
Southern Oregon coastal river trips.
We will continue to offer fishing trips on the coastal rivers, the Elk, Sixes, Coquille, Milicoma...for winter steelhead for the next few months. Charlie and the guys will happily head back to the coast for anyone interested in a coastal trip.

Umpqua & Rogue river fishing trips.
Our guides have also been catching fresh winter steelhead on the south Umpqua river, near Canyonville and in the lower sections of the Rogue. We will be fishing both of these rivers for the next few months for winter steelhead, carefully monitoring weather and river conditions to insure productive trips, always necessary for winter fishing.

For those interested in a bit of an adventure on more remote river sections "avoiding the crowd," and searching for the truly wild steelhead of a lifetime, we will be offering fishing trips by raft on the very upper section of the Umpqua river, the Applegate river just outside Grants Pass and the Illinois river near Cave Junction. These trips are only available during our winter season.
