Lodging

When Fishing the Rogue, there are many lodging options in the Medford and Grants Pass areas. In my list below, I've listed options closer to the Rogue in the smaller towns that line its banks. These towns include, starting on the upper river and moving downstream, Prospect, Trail, Shady Cove, Gold Hill, and Rogue River. I have included hotels/motels, RV parks, campgrounds and a couple houses for rent that we can recommend. There are also many nice rentals in these areas that can be found through a search on airbnb and vrbo.

The River House (Grants Pass)

When fishing the Umpqua river, Canyonville is a close place to stay and we suggest the two lodging options below (there really are not many other spots). Grants Pass is another option, just 45 minutes south on Interstate 5.

Seven Feathers (A hotel and casino)

Holday Inn Express

The Elk and Sixes rivers, on the southern Oregon coast, near Port Orford are about 30 minutes north of Gold Beach and the about the same distance south of Bandon. Many guests like to stay in these towns, which are a bit larger than Port Orford, and offer traditional motel and hotel options. If you would like to stay closer to the river and avoid an early morning, often rainy and windy drive, Port Orford also has some options. Port Orford is a town of 900 folks and boasts beautiful beaches, locally owned eateries and character.
